After updating the Nokia 7 Plus with the latest Android 9.0 OS, HMD Global announced that the new OS will be available to four of its smartphones soon. The device expected to rock the new Android 9.0 are Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 8 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco. This was made known during a brief launch event held in London.
According to HMD Global, the Android 9.0 Pie OS will be available to these devices later in October and November 2018. Remember, Android 9 Pie was released few months ago and is currently available to Pixel and a couple of non-Pixel devices. Although the company assured the public that the update will be available between October and November, but refused to specify exactly when users of the device will get it.
Android 9.0 Pie OS comes with some amazing features such as;
- Adaptive Battery
- Adaptive Brightness
- Do not Disturb mode
- Digital Wellbeing implementations as well as the new gesture-based interface
The update should be expected alongside October and November security patches.
