MIUI 10 Stable Update

After the Xiaomi Redmi 5A got the MIUI 10 update last week, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 5 will also be getting it. Both the Redmi 6 Pro and the Redmi 5 smartphone were launched running on MIUI 9 but the the Redmi 5 was based on Android 7.1.2 (Nougat). The new update comes as MIUI 10.0.1.0.ODMMIFH for the Redmi 6 Pro and as 10.1.2.0.NDAMIFI for the Redmi 5.

While the Redmi 6 Pro update weighs about 609MB in size, the Redmi 5 update is 348MB, but  is based on Android 7.1 (Nougat). The Xiaomi Redmi 5 update comes with the July, 2018 Android security patch. The update brings new and improve features such as Full-screen gestures, Redesigned Notification Panel, Redesigned Volume Sliders, Improved multitasking management, natural sound system, and a lot more. Check out the changelog below.

You can download the recovery ROM here for Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 5 and flash it using the recovery method or download the fastboot ROM here for the Redmi 6 Pro and Redmi 5 and flash it using the fastboot method. These phones were kept in the second batch of devices along with Redmi Note 4 to receive MIUI 10 Global Stable update in India, and other devices from the second batch are also expected to receive MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM update soon.
