Lenovo ThinkPad X1, The World’s First Foldable PC

The term “Foldable Phone” is no longer news, as we have heard and seen the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Foldable phone, the Rouyu FlexiPai Foldable Phone and the Motorola RAZR Foldable Phone. But, have you heard of the term Foldable PC or a Foldable Screen Notebook before? Well, you haven’t, then let me introduce you the world’s first Foldable PC or screen notebook called the ThinkPad X1.

Lenovo has released what is now known as the world’s first Foldable PC in the United States. This is coming after Intel announced that its upcoming notebooks will be debuting with a Foldable screens. Although the ThinkPad X1 is still a prototype, but will be officially announced by the year 2020.

ThinkPad X1 Specifications

Although for now details, specifications are still sketchy, but we were able to gather some few details. Specs shows that the ThinkPad X1 is equipped with a 4:3 13.3-inch 2K resolution OLED screen supplied by LG. The device comes with a weight of 900 grams, and it has the size of a regular book after folding.

The Foldable device is comfortable to hold with one hand, and it is not awkward to fold it up, and when the computer is flat on the table. The hinge is “sturdy” and easy to open and close.

When Is The Release Date For The ThinkPad X1?

If you are in a hurry to get the your hands on the world’s first Foldable PC, I am sorry to say that you have to wait a little longer because the device will not be released until 2020. What we have now is a prototype and Lenovo are still working to improve on the device. We will share more details, as we get more info about the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1.
