Huawei could regain Google’s GMS certification and authorization before the end of July. This is according to Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s latest research report released today. It is also believed that Huawei’s mobile phone shipments for the year 2019, could reach 260 million units.
Ming-Chi Kuo said one of the major reasons for the increase in Huawei’s mobile phone shipments is that Huawei’s market share in China has gone up exponentially. He also said that the companies, mid- and low-end models have also regained sales in overseas markets.
Ming-Chi Kuo is confident that Huawei will regain Google’s GMS certification even while many still worried that the company won’t actually be able to get back. He revealed that overseas markets, operators and vendors have resumed selling Huawei’s devices, and the company has adopted a more aggressive sales strategy. He said even though if the company can’t regain GMS certification and authorization, they’ll still manage to hit 230 million shipments in 2019.
Ming-Chi Kuo also said that Huawei’s mobile phone supply chain has recently raised its forecast for shipments in the second half of the year and 2019. We’re not entirely sure it’s possible for Huawei to continue hitting these milestones, but we’re eager to find out. We’ll keep a close eye on Huawei, so stay tuned on Gizmochina.com for any updates on the Huawei situation.
