Google has officially announced Android 10 (Android Q) and has started rolling out the official version. The company dropped the Android Q name ad formally adopted Android 10 as the official name of the OS. Just after making the announcement, HMD Global unveiled its list of smartphones that will be getting the update.
According to the road map unveiled by the company, the first sets of phones to get the latest Android 10 update will be the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 7.1 in the final quarter of this year. The company will roll out the firmware to the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 3.1 Plus and Nokia 2.2 in Q1 of 2020. The Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 1 will get Android 10 in Q2 of 2020.
These are the first set of smartphones that will officially be running on the latest version of Android. Nokia is taking the lead on this and we hope to see others follow soon.
