WhatsApp has finally released dark mode for the stable version of the app on both Android and iOS. The feature is expected to be rolled out across both platforms within a few days. The tech giant has been testing dark mode feature for many months now and it was available only to beta users.
The feature which has been a part of the Facebook app for some time now, is only just coming to Whatsapp after a long awaiting period by many. The WhatsApp dark mode is “designed to reduce eye strain in low light environments”, and “prevent those awkward moments where your phone lights up the room”.
The dark mode feature is available on Apple device running on iOS 13. While on Andoid, it is available on device running Android 10 operating system. Those running Android 9 Pie and previous versions of the OS can manually enable dark mode just for WhatsApp from its settings.
