Big Brother Naija 2020 Season 5, How To Apply

MultiChoice Nigeria has officially announced a 5th season of the popular Big Brother Naija. This year’s season show, according to the statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday by the organizers, will be premiering in July 2020. In view of this, MultiChoice Nigeria has scheduled an online audition process to be held from May 20 till May 30.

The registration process is free and open to all potential contestants who must be at least 21 years of age by June 1, 2020. Speaking on season 5 of the show, the Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, John Ugbe said;

Big Brother Naija has been widely regarded as one of Africa’s biggest entertainment exports, being the biggest showcase of Nigeria’s diversity outside of core Nollywood. This fifth season promises to be more adventurous, exciting and entertaining, and will undoubtedly be the biggest thing on African television in 2020.

How to Apply

  • Visit the African Magic Website
  • Click the “Enter” button
  • Fill out the online registration form and upload your 2 minutes recorded video


  • Must be 21 years old and above
  • Have a valid Nigerian Passport
  • Make a 2 minutes video of yourselves stating why you should be picked to be a Housemate in Season 5 of Big Brother Naija.

It could be recalled that the first edition of the Big Brother Naija show was held back in 2006. The second season how ever came in 2017, 11 years after the first season. The show has been known to produce some of the country’s biggest TV personalities and pop culture influencers.
