Xiaomi has started rolling out the stable version of Android 10 to owners of the cheaper Redmi 7A in China. The update weighs 1.7GB in size and comes with software version number MIUI 220.127.116.11 QCMCNXM. The update is only available for users of the smartphone in China. We may see a global version in the coming weeks.
The Android 10 update comes with improved system security, as well as May 2020, security patch. The update is quite a suprise since the likes of Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 8 are still running on Android 9 Pie.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7A sporting a 5.45-inch display, with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels. It had the Qualcomm SDM439 Snapdragon 439 processor on board, while running on Android 9.0 (Pie) based on MIUI 11. It has up to 3GB of RAM, with an internal storage capacity of up to 32GB.
The phone packed a 4000mAh battery capacity, with 10W charging. On the cameras setup, the phone sports a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash, supported by a single 5MP front selfie shooter. The Redmi 7A was launched in Matte Black, Morning blue, Matte Blue, Matte Gold, Gem Red and Gem Blue colour options.
