Facebook is constantly evolving with the addition of new feature almost every month. We saw the social media platform, adding the App Lock and New Privacy Settings features to its messaging app. The app now has a new update, and this time, its coming to its Facebook Messenger Rooms.
The new update, will now make it easy for users of its messenger room to live broadcast to Facebook. This feature will support up to 50 people during the initial launch. The feature will be available to Facebook and Messenger users in some countries today, but it is expected to expand to more countries soon.
How To Set Up Facebook Messenger Rooms Live Broadcast Feature
To be able to use this feature, simply follow the steps below and you are good. First, you need to create a room in Messenger and broadcast it to a Profile, Page or Group. The room creator can invite anyone to watch the broadcast, even if they do not have a Facebook account. The room creator can also control where the room is shared on Facebook, who can view the broadcast and who is invited to participate.
Once the invite is sent, room participants will receive a notification where they will have to opt-in to participate. Additional controls are given to the broadcaster to be able to add or remove participants from the live broadcast at any time and also be able to lock/unlock a room during the live broadcast.
Guys, please drop your comment below and tell us what you think about the new feature.
