You Can Now Import Chat History From Other Apps To Telegram


Telegram has a new update and this allows you import chat history from other apps. The messaging app, was recently updated to v7.4.0, and a new feature was added that brings the option to migrate chat history from other messaging apps like WhatsApp, Line and KakaoTalk.

The new move is coming after after WhatsApp introduced a controversial privacy policy that forces users to share personal data with Facebook. This has led millions of users to switch to other platforms such as Telegram and Signal.

The new feature which is available to both Android and iOS users, works for both individual and group chats. Telegram made this known to users via a post shared on social media. The message reads;

Move your message history from apps like WhatsApp, Line and KakaoTalk to Telegram.

Other additions in Telegram v7.4.0 include more chat deletion options with options to remove chats and calls for both sides as well as delete groups for all participating members. Voice Chats now get the ability to adjust volume levels individually for all participants and you can also fast forward and rewind music playback speed within the built-in audio player.

Other Android-specific additions include new animations and greeting stickers. There’s also the option to report fake channels and groups that are impersonating celebrities or organizations. There are also improvements for accessibility users with TalkBack and VoiceOver.
