Caviar is a Russian luxury phone and accessory maker with a collection of the world’s most expensive cell phones to its name. The company is known for redesign iPhone or Galaxy devices with gold and gemstones and then slapping it with a high price tag. Remember the world most expensive Nokia 3310 introduced back in 2018, this was done by Cavier.
Now the company has announced that it will unveil a Vertu-inspired phone that runs Android. Known as the Caviar Origin, the cell phone will be coming with a price tag of $1,000. It may shock you to know that this is cheaper when compare to other Caviar devices such as the Nokia 3310 which cost $2,610.
According to the company, the phone will be running an Android OS, while sporting a gold-plated keypad. It is said that the company went with Android OS, mainly for app support. With the OS, the phone will be able to run WhatsApp. Announcing this via its official website, the company wrote;
This is a classical, conservative model for those who love models with a simple set of functions, with personal data protection, but with an exclusive and luxurious design as well.
The specialty will work on the Android OS. The phone will have pre-installed Whatsapp.
Caviar Origin is going to be a spiritual heritor of Vertu push-button phones and like Vertu, it must become a masterpiece of art among phones according to the creators’ plan.
Not much was revealed about the specs, but you can see a video below of how the phone will look like when it is officially launched. The Caviar Origin will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
