A lot of smartphone makers are rolling out the latest Android 11 update to their devices and Motorola is not left out. The latest to receive the new update, is the Moto G8 and G8 Power. The firmware number for the update is RPE31.Q4U-47-35, and it comes with the February 2021 security patches.
Those in Columbia has started receiving the update and we hope to see more regions get it. It is expected to be rolled out in stages but will make its way to more device in the coming days. It could be recalled that Motorola gave a list of phones that will be getting the Android 11 update and both the Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power made the list.
Both phones were launched with a 6.4-inch punch hole screen. While the G8 comes with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels, the G8 Power has 1080 x 2300 pixels. Both phones ran on Android 10 before being upgraded to Android 11. The G8 and G8 Power comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. They are both paired with 4GB RAM, and has 64GB internal storage.
One of the major differences between the Motorola Moto G8 and Moto G8 Power, is the battery capacity. While the G8 comes with 4000mAh battery with 10W charging, the G8 Power packed a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. Both devices supports 4G LTE network.
